Stalos beach

Stalos beach is located only 270m from the apartments. Stalos is well developed and attracts a large number of visitors each summer. Kato Stalos, which is the coastal part of the wider area called Stalos, has a fantastic sandy beach. The beach is very well organized and provides any required touristic services. Therefire, the beach is awarded every year with blue flag.

Falasarna beach

The exotic beach of Falassarna is located west of Chania city at Kissamos, at the western base of peninsula Gramvousa. At the northern end of the beach there are the ruins of the ancient Grecoroman city of Phalassarna.

Falassarna bay hosts some of the most famous beaches in Greece, which has been awarded as the best beach of Crete and voted as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe several times in the past. Falasarna spans a large area and consists actually of five consecutive beaches, with the two most central being the most favorite.

Balos lagoon

Balos is famous for its turquoise waters, the wild natural beauty and the beautiful exotic scenery. During the summer, it is visited by thousands of people, who arrive mostly by the ferries running from Kissamos port. The lagoon of Balos has white sand and exotic white, vivid blue and turquoise waters. The sea is very shallow and warm. In many places the sand has a lovely pinkish color, because of millions of crushed shells. Beyond the rocks at the boundaries of the lagoon, the water is deeper and colder, ideal for a snorkeling. The lagoon and the wider area, with rare species of flora and fauna, are protected under the Natura 2000 program.

Elafonisi beach

Elafonisi  “deer island” is an island located close to the southwestern corner of the Mediterranean island of Crete, of which it is administratively a part, in the regional unit of Chania. When the weather is fine it is possible to walk to the island through the shallow water. The island is a protected nature reserve. It is known for its pink sand beaches, created by tidal and wave-induced deposits of pigmented microorganisms living in a symbiotic relationship with native seaweed.

Samaria gorge

The gorge is in southwest Crete in the regional unit of Chania. It was created by a small river running between the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) and Mt. Volakias. The gorge is 16 km long, starting at an altitude of 1,250m at the northern entrance, and ending at the shores of the Libyan Sea in Agia Roumeli. The most famous part of the gorge is the stretch known as the Gates (or, albeit incorrectly, as “Iron Gates”), where the sides of the gorge close in to a width of only four meters and soar up to a height of almost 300 meters (980 feet). The gorge became a national park in 1962, particularly as a refuge for the rare kri-kri (Cretan goat). There are several other endemic species in the gorge and surrounding area, as well as many other species of flowers and birds.

Agioi Apostoloi

Agioi Apostoloi is a waterfront village, named after a small church called Agioi Apostoloi (“Saint Apostles”), situated in Crete and it is famous for its coves. Many inhabitants of Chania visit the sandy beaches during the weekends because they are close to the city, they have sport facilities and in the end they are quite warm even from the first weeks of the summer. There are three different beaches (Iguana beach, Yannis beach place and Golden beach) in Agioi Apostoloi, each one situated in its own small bay.
